Pet Safety & Pain Management
In accordance with AAHA guidelines, VO Vets recommends routine blood work and urinalysis, chest and abdominal X-rays, and ECG prior to any anesthetic procedures to minimize potential complications. We use our diagnostic tools to evaluate your pet as thoroughly as possible for signs of disease or other issues that might jeopardize their health during surgery. If necessary, we might postpone your pet’s procedure until any underlying issues we discover can be treated.
Our hospital also provides adequate pain management before, during, and after surgery. We typically combine injectable pain relief with oral medication for best results.
